Welcome:
The International Association of Consultants, Valuators and Analysts (IACVA) was founded in 2000. This website is maintained to support the interests of worldwide valuation and forensic professionals.
This website provides information on IACVA's purposes, Board members and staff, contact information and information on Charter Member.
Purpose
IACVA is a not-for-profit organization with Charter Members worldwide. A Charter Member represents the business professionals in a specific country. IACVA is the first international association established to provide worldwide support to professionals who provide valuation services on businesses and intellectual property. In the field of business valuations, IACVA promotes the application of valuation methods, models and approaches through rigorous training and certification.
In the field of forensics, IACVA promotes best practices for professionals who act as experts in their field and must prepare and present financial data in fact-finding forums. These best practices include fraud deterrence and detection assignments, as well as the use of generally accepted methodology for computing damages from infringement of property rights or other disputes. Here, too, IACVA offers training and certification to its membership.
Membership in IACVA is through Charter Members, organized on a country-specific basis. Charter Members are valuation organizations, societies representing their respective country. In this fashion, application of uniform valuation and forensic practices also maintain adherence to country-specific laws, regulations and norms.
Associate Members of IACVA are those professionals who have gained membership in a Charter Member organization. Any professional who carries an interest in the disciplines supported by IACVA may become an Associate Member. It is that an Associate Member become certified, nor is it required that an Associate Member take advantage of IACVA's training programs.
